Sandra Deloris Smith October 17, 1967 – October 1- 2020

Sandra Deloris Smith of Hazen passed away at Baptist Health Medical Center in North Little Rock at the age of 52. She was born in Brinkley to Phillip Smith and Ruby Smith. She was the youngest of 11 children born to this union.

Sandra attended the Hazen Public School System. She was a member of the graduating class of 1986. She went on to further education when she attended Sterling Cosmetology School in Moline, Illinois, where she received a diploma in Beauty/Cosmetology. For many years, she attended church at Prairie Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Hazen.

Sandra was formerly an employed as a Certified Nurse’ Assistant at Hazen Nursing Center in Hazen, where she worked for more than 7 years. She was also formerly an employee of Mid-Ark Auto Auction in North Little Rock for several years.

Her father; three brothers, Leotis Smith, Perlis Smith and Edward Smith; and a sister, Edith Smith, all preceded her in death. Survivors are her son, Quenton Smith Sr., of Hazen; her daughter, Kiera Smith, of Carlisle; five grandchildren, Mya Smith, Paris Smith, Quenton Smith Jr. and Rhyan Smith, all of Lonoke, and Kyon “KB” Burton, of Carlisle; her goddaughter, Kaylan McGee, of Lonoke; her mother, Ruby Smith, of Hazen; five brothers, Lindsey (Gireta) Smith, Claudie Smith and Jerry (Carol) Smith, all of Hazen, Derrick (Marsha) Smith, of Conway, and Darryl (Leasa) Smith, of Dewitt; a sister, Ina (Joe) Harris, of Little Rock; her sister-in-law, Elaine Smith, of Hazen; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A walk through visitation was held October 16 at Mount Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle. Funeral services were October 17 at The Hazen Center in Hazen with Bishop Michael Desmuke officiating. Interment was at Green Grove Cemetery in Hazen by Branscumb Johnson & Gilchrest Funeral Home of Brinkley.
