Elsie Boyle passed away with her husband and family by her side, at the age of 84. She was born at her home in Rich, to James Arthur Terry and Harriet Mull Terry. She graduated Valedictorian from Brinkley High School. She met the love of her life, Robert Boyle, at church and were married on October 31, 1954. They celebrated 64 years (a couple of days short of 65 years) of marriage together.

Elsie was a Brinkley public high school secretary for many years. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church since its founding in 1951, where she also served as a Sunday school teacher, Brinkley squares (square dancing) for 25 years, scrap happy quilting club, home economics board member, and Lutheran’s ladies aid organization. Her interests, aside from all the organizations she was involved in, included spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, and crocheting, oil painting, playing the piano, gardening, completing crossword puzzles, and baking.

Elsie, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and grandmuddy, is survived by husband, Robert Boyle; one daughter, Janice (Herman) Reeves; one son, Bobby (Linda) Boyle; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Colby, and Shane Thompson, Bethany (Josh) Proffit, and Lauree Bartholomew; along with one great-grandchild, Kenzie (Ryan) McGaughey. She is preceded in death by three brothers, James Arthur "Buster" Terry, Bobby Dean Terry, and baby boy Johnny; one sister, Barbara Anne Noah, and one son-in-law, Dwight Thompson. Funeral services were Saturday, November 2, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rich, with interment at Oaklawn Cemetery, Brinkley. Fowler Funeral Home provided the arrangements.
