Larry Derrick Sr.

On November 7, 2024, the world lost a wonderful man, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother. Larry Derrick Sr., 86, crossed over to his eternal home after a brief illness. He was born in Brinkley, where he grew up and lived until 2020, when he moved to Wynne to be closer of family.
He loved everyone and he was loved by all. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. He was a first class Airman and served the VFW. He enjoyed the last year of his life living in Woodruff County Health Center in McCrory.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Derrick; parents, Frank and Gladys Derrick; brother, William “Bill” Derrick; and great-grandchild, Colton Pipkin. Survivors are a daughter, Marnie (Mike) Ragsdale; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Ann (Paul) Foster, Suzy Jacks, Linda Fry, and Janet (David) Fleming.
Graveside services were at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley Tuesday, November 12 by Fowler Funeral Home of Brinkley.
